Vale Group, a nationwide specialized recruitment firm, has partnered with a company based in Oklahoma City, OK, who is actively searching for an experienced Commercial Credit Analyst to work onsite for an opportunity paying up to $90,000 per year (salaried), based on experience and credentials. This role focuses on underwriting and analyzing complex commercial borrowers (CRE & C&I), preparing detailed credit memoranda, and supporting senior credit leadership and loan committees. The ideal candidate brings strong financial analysis capabilities, sound credit judgment, and experience evaluating middle-market or complex commercial credits.
Requirements of the Commercial Credit Analyst:
- Strong experience analyzing commercial borrower financial statements and tax returns
- Demonstrated ability to prepare clear, well-structured credit memoranda
- High attention to detail with strong organizational and prioritization skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- 3+ years of commercial credit or loan underwriting experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field
- Unique skills required: Advanced Excel and strong financial spreading ability
- Skills or credentials that would be a plus: Middle-market or complex credit exposure
- Critical skill required: Cash flow and ratio analysis
Responsibilities of the Commercial Credit Analyst:
- Analyze commercial borrower financial statements and business tax returns
- Perform cash flow, ratio, and trend analysis to assess repayment capacity
- Prepare detailed credit memoranda for senior lending officers and approval committees
- Evaluate borrower performance, leverage, liquidity, and profitability
- Compare borrower metrics against industry benchmarks and peer companies
- Monitor loan covenant compliance and identify early warning indicators
- Conduct annual credit reviews and portfolio monitoring
- Perform industry and market research to support underwriting decisions
- Support relationship managers and credit leadership with deal structuring
- Support as needed
