Role Overview
Laurus College is seeking a B2B Outreach & Partnerships Contractor to expand and strengthen relationships with employers, workforce organizations, and community partners. This temporary part time role is critical to growing our adult learner enrollment pipeline through employer-sponsored education, tuition reimbursement partnerships, and workforce development collaborations.
Reporting to the EVP of Enrollment Operations, this contractor will execute targeted outbound outreach, manage early-stage partnership conversations, and build a sustainable B2B prospecting engine using LinkedIn Sales Navigator and CRM tools.
This is an execution-focused role with clear outcomes, high autonomy, and direct impact on enrollment growth. Remote, with occasional local outreach as needed.
Key Responsibilities
B2B Prospecting & Outreach
- Use LinkedIn Sales Navigator to identify, segment, and prioritize employer prospects aligned with Laurus programs.
- Conduct personalized outreach to HR leaders, L&D managers, talent leaders, and business owners.
- Design and execute outreach cadence (connection requests, follow-ups, email, messaging) with professionalism and persistence.
- Track outreach activity, responses, and conversion metrics in CRM or tracking tools.
Employer Partnerships Development
- Initiate and qualify employer conversations related to:
- Tuition reimbursement partnerships
- Upskilling/reskilling programs
- Workforce development initiatives
- Customized cohort or referral agreements
- Schedule and prepare warm handoffs or meetings with internal leadership as appropriate.
- Maintain a pipeline of active and developing employer relationships.
Collaboration & Alignment
- Collaborate with internal Admissions and Marketing stakeholders as needed to align outreach efforts with program offerings and messaging.
- Provide periodic summaries of outreach activity, pipeline status, and partner engagement trends.
- Share market insights and feedback to inform employer messaging and partnership strategy.
Success Metrics
- Number of qualified employer conversations initiated
- Meetings booked with decision-makers
- Active employer partnerships in pipeline
- Conversion of partnerships to student referrals or enrollments
- Consistent, documented outreach activity and follow-through
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in B2B outreach, business development, partnerships, or sales (education or workforce development experience strongly preferred)
- Proven experience using LinkedIn Sales Navigator for outbound prospecting
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple outreach streams simultaneously
- Comfortable working independently in a contractor environment
- Familiarity with CRM systems and outreach tracking
Preferred Experience
- Higher education, workforce development, or training/learning partnerships
- Selling into HR, Talent, L&D, or executive audiences
- Experience supporting adult learners or non-traditional students
Time Commitment and Details
- Estimated workload equivalent to 15–25 hours per week, based on scope and project needs
- Initial 6-month engagement, with potential extension of an additional 3–6 months (to be determined)
- Flexible schedule; contractor determines work hours to meet agreed-upon deliverables and deadlines
- Independent contractor, temporary engagement; no benefits provided
