Position Overview
Kingfisher Recruiting is supporting a top client to find a Landscape Sales and Design Rep with design experience and a strong sales mindset to support commercial and residential landscape projects. This role blends landscape architecture, client consultation, and business development, making it ideal for a professional who enjoys both designing outdoor environments and building client relationships.
This position is field-facing and client-facing, responsible for meeting with property owners, developers, and managers to assess needs, develop design solutions, and convert opportunities into awarded projects.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Client Development
- Meet with prospective clients to understand site conditions, goals, budgets, and timelines
- Develop strong relationships with homeowners, commercial property owners, and facility managers
- Identify opportunities for new landscape, enhancement, and hardscape projects
- Prepare and present proposals, concepts, and design solutions
- Follow up on proposals and manage opportunities through close
- Maintain a consistent pipeline of qualified prospects
Design & Technical Responsibilities
- Create landscape designs, layouts, and conceptual plans
- Conduct site visits, measurements, and evaluations
- Select appropriate plant materials, hardscape elements, and site features
- Ensure designs align with client goals, site constraints, and applicable codes
- Collaborate with operations teams to ensure designs are buildable and executed as intended
Project Coordination & Support
- Support project handoff from sales to operations
- Assist with clarifying scope, materials, and design intent during execution
- Communicate with clients throughout the pre-construction phase
- Address design-related questions or changes as needed
Qualifications
Required
- Experience producing landscape designs and client-facing presentations
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prospects simultaneously
- Proficiency with design and presentation tools (AutoCAD, SketchUp, or similar)
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally
Preferred
- Experience selling landscape or outdoor construction services
- Knowledge of Michigan plant materials and site conditions
- Experience working with residential and commercial clients

Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $65k +Commission (Target $95k)
