Our Financial Services client in midtown NYC is seeking a full time
Accountant/Financial Assistant with at least 10 years of accounting and bookkeeping experience, as well as the ability to help review financial statements, balance sheets, income statements. Basic knowledge of K-1s and other tax filings is preferred.
The Accounting Assistant will be part of a small in-office team to support the investors and CFO, and provide additional administrative duties as needed, including preparing of engagement letters and other correspondences.
Required Skills:- Strong Excel and Quickbooks
- Accounting and administrative skills to produce spreadsheets
- Understanding of Balance Sheets, Journal Entries, Trial Balances, Cash Flows, and Income Statements
- Ability to work with and support an outside accounting firm
- Strong attention to detail and ability to review and proofread documents and compile documentation for compliance purposes
Preferred- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
- Corporate Tax experience
