Position Overview
The AVP, of Investor Strategy plays a critical role in shaping and executing the firm’s investment product strategy across institutional and private wealth channels. This individual partners closely with investment teams, distribution, and senior leadership to design, position, and evolve investment solutions that align with investor demand, market trends, and the firm’s long-term growth objectives. The role sits at the intersection of investments, product development, and client strategy, with significant exposure to senior stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Product & Solutions Strategy
- Support the development and evolution of investment products across asset classes, structures, and vehicles
- Conduct market, competitor, and investor analysis to inform product design, positioning, and prioritization
- Translate investment strategies into clear, scalable, and client-ready solutions
Cross-Functional Partnership
- Partner with investment teams to understand strategy objectives, performance drivers, and implementation considerations
- Collaborate with distribution, marketing, legal, and operations to bring new products and enhancements to market
- Act as a strategic connector across teams to ensure alignment between product capabilities and investor needs
Investor & Market Insights
- Analyze investor demand trends across institutional and private wealth channels
- Develop materials and frameworks that articulate value propositions, differentiation, and use cases
- Support senior leadership in shaping messaging for internal and external audiences
Strategic Initiatives & Execution
- Drive high-priority strategic initiatives related to platform growth, product innovation, and market expansion
- Manage multiple workstreams with a high degree of ownership and attention to detail
- Support governance processes related to product approvals and lifecycle management
Stakeholder Communication
- Prepare presentations and strategic analyses for senior management and investment committees
- Serve as a thought partner to leadership on product positioning and long-term strategy
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree with strong academic credentials
- 3–10 years of experience in asset management, alternatives, investment banking, management consulting, or related fields
- Strong understanding of investment products and fund structures across public and private markets
- Demonstrated ability to synthesize complex investment concepts into clear, investor-oriented narratives
Preferred
- Experience working with alternative investment strategies (e.g., private equity, credit, real assets, hedge funds)
- MBA or other advanced degree
