About this role: Wells Fargo is seeking an Investment Banking Analyst for the Leveraged Underwriting group within Corporate and Investment Banking (CIB). The position is focused on underwriting, structuring, and executing complex and fast-moving transactions that support Corporate and Sponsor clients across a diverse range of industries within Wells Fargo's Leveraged Underwriting Group. This role will work closely with Leveraged Finance Debt Capital Markets (DCM), Sponsor Coverage, Capital Management, Industry Coverage, and Equity Capital Markets (ECM) teams to originate and execute new transactions.
In this role, you will:
- Create detailed financial models to analyze capital and growth strategies for clients
- Conduct extensive financial and industry due diligence to evaluate the risk/return parameters of a transaction
- Partner with Leveraged Finance and Coverage to structure and execute complex, fast-moving, leveraged acquisition finance, financial sponsor, and pre-IPO transactions
- Assist the senior banker and deal teams to analyze financial statements, conduct due diligence, build complex financial models, complete industry and comp analysis, and distill large amounts of information into concise memos that address key credit risks
- Participate in all aspects of deal coordination, including conducting due diligence efforts and drafting materials
- Maintain knowledge of structuring, marketing, and distribution processes associated with leveraged debt instruments
- Prepare marketing documents, including pitch materials, confidential offering memoranda, and management presentations
- Develop knowledge around credit and other related legal agreements and complex loan structures
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of Wells Fargo's credit risk policies, risk appetite, and underwriting guidelines
- Support a collaborative and inclusive environment
Required Qualifications:
- 6+ months of Investment Banking experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
- Successful completion of formal Credit Training program
- 6+ months of financial services industry experience
- 6+ months of Corporate or Investment Banking experience is a plus

- Registration for Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) exam must be completed within 90 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted
- Registration for FINRA Series 63 (or 66) must be completed within 90 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted
- Registration for FINRA Series 79 must be completed within 90 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted

Pay Range Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to demonstrated examples of prior performance, skills, experience, or work location. Employees may also be eligible for incentive opportunities.
