Able to execute within a variety of brand guidelines and templates, our clients’ and our own, in both marketing and e-learning contexts.
Interested in learning about technical topics in the pursuit of effectively communicating them visually.
Willing to work full-time, typical office hours, sometimes putting in the additional hours necessary to do the work at hand.
Willing to be flexible and adaptable in a changing, fluid, and nonbureaucratic environment.
As a bonus, it would be valuable to have experience in:

We are open to hiring people in any stage of their careers; however, we anticipate that you may need several years of work experience to have most or all of the skills we describe above.
To be a good fit for this position, you should have a passion for great design with a solid understanding of the elements that contribute to it (e.g., typography, color theory, composition, animation, motion, storytelling, etc.) and an emphasis on marketing, corporate training, and branding. We want you to be engaged in the world around you—to keep up with the latest design and development technologies, as well as marketing and branding strategies.
We have lofty goals: We want to produce the best work in the world. If you come onboard, you’ll be signing up for those goals, so you should want to produce work that is great, not just good enough. This job requires strong communication and organization skills, as well as acute attention to detail. We all work together, so you have to be comfortable providing—and receiving—feedback and encouragement to and from other members of the team. (And it’s a big and diverse team, including writers, graphic designers, developers, instructional designers, videographers, photographers, audio engineers, subject matter experts, and more.)
At PT, our philosophy is that we’re all in it together. We don’t have job titles, and we collaborate every day to help create the best work possible. If you want to do great work; learn something new every day; and be part of a world-class, growing team—let’s talk.
Most of our team works remotely, with occasional gatherings in our office in the Research Triangle Park area of North Carolina; anyone is welcome to work in our office at any time. We would prefer to hire candidates near our office in Durham. That said, we will also consider exceptional candidates who are located elsewhere in North Carolina and/or in the states of Pennsylvania, Oregon, or Georgia. We will not relocate candidates for this opening.
To apply, please send a resume, cover letter, and portfolio to jobs@principledtechnologies.com. We will not review applications that do not include a portfolio or a link to a portfolio.
Please note: We are aware that fraudulent postings are common. We will contact you only from our corporate email account ending in principledtechnologies.com and never from a personal one, such as Gmail.
