Position Overview
The Enrollment Services Agent conducts face-to-face outreach and enrollment assistance to individuals and families. This role involves presenting managed care options, assisting with enrollment and disenrollment processes, and ensuring beneficiaries understand their healthcare plan options.
This position requires strong communication skills, cultural competence, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, community-based environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct in-person outreach and enrollment presentations (group and one-on-one)
- Educate beneficiaries on managed care options and plan usage
- Assist with enrollment, disenrollment, medical exemptions, and waiver inquiries
- Perform accurate data entry and transmit enrollment information per policy guidelines
- Maintain detailed documentation in CRM systems
- Support training and onboarding of new team members as needed
- Build and maintain strong relationships with county staff, community partners, and clients
- Attend and represent the program at community events and health fairs
- Meet production, quality, and field performance standards
- Report compliance or quality concerns in a timely manner
- Work at various assigned office locations as directed by management
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Bilingual (reading, writing, and speaking fluency required)
- Active California Driver’s License and proof of insurance
- Reliable transportation and ability to travel throughout the county and surrounding areas
- Computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Ability to type 20+ WPM
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Knowledge of the community being served
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum six (6) months experience in human services or public-facing roles
- Experience working with low-income or diverse populations
- Public speaking, outreach, marketing, teaching, or community education experience
- Ability to present complex information clearly and in a culturally competent manner
