We are looking for a Network Engineer to design, implement, monitor, and manage IT network infrastructure to ensure high performance, security, and uptime for data, voice, and wireless systems. Responsibilities include configuring routers and switches, troubleshooting, maintaining firewalls, and optimizing capacity. The role involves working with LAN/WAN, cloud, and on-premises networks while providing Microsoft design, consulting, and engineering services for clients across the United States. You will offer technical leadership and Level II/III engineering support to Managed Service and Project accounts.
Required Skill Sets and Experience
Key Responsibilities & Roles
- Design & Implementation: Planning and deploying LANs, WANs, and virtual private networks (VPNs). They develop network infrastructure, including installing and configuring hardware such as routers and switches.
- Maintenance & Support:
Monitoring network performance, analyzing capacity needs, and ensuring maximum uptime. This includes performing, troubleshooting, and resolving hardware/software issues, often serving as a technical support liaison.
- Security & Compliance: Securing network systems by implementing firewalls, data protection, and security policies to guard against threats.
- Documentation: Creating and maintaining technical documentation, such as network diagrams and configuration standards.
- Optimization: Upgrading network equipment, managing software updates, and improving network performance.
Windows Networking – On Premise and Cloud
- Comprehensive design and implementation experience of M/S Active Directory and Group Policy
- Experience On Prem AD, Hybrid Azure AD and Azure AD
- Experience with Windows Networking Technologies (DNS, DHCP)
- Experience with Virtualization technologies, including VMware, Hyper-V, Vates and Proxmox open source
Microsoft 365 Migration and Cloud Deployments
- Expertise in Exchange online, SharePoint, OneDrive and Teams
- Migration experience On Premise to M365 Cloud Services
- Experience with Identity and Access Management via Azure AD and Conditional Access
- Experience with In-Tune Configuration and Policies
- Experience with Microsoft Defender, Purview and MS Sentinel
Azure Project Experience
- Azure Migration Projects – IaaS, PaaS, SaaS
- Experience Designing Scalable, Secure and cost optimized Azure Infrastructure
- Migration of Workloads from On Premise, or other Clouds to Azure
- Understanding of Azure Arc and ExpressRoute technologies
- Experience in Authentication Security SSO and MFA technologies
CoPilot Readiness and Enablement
- Understanding of Microsoft Copilot architecture and licensing requirements
- Ability to configure and optimize Copilot for Microsoft 365 apps (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
AI & Automation
- Experience with Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI)
- Familiarity with integrating AI models via Azure OpenAI or Cognitive Services
- Ability to build and manage intelligent workflows and chatbots using Microsoft tools
Responsibilities and Requirements
Engineering and Presales Responsibilities
- Provide pre-sales and design support to our Account Managers
- Work with Partner Manufacturer Representatives to design and implement cloud migration projects
- Provide technical leadership and mentoring to our engineering team
Required Qualifications and Experience
- 4-year bachelor’s degree preferred – Industry certifications may be used in lieu of
- Three to five years’ minimum experience working with cloud technologies
- Advanced writing and oral communications skills
- Proven ability to lead a project team
- Demonstrated project experience with Mid-Size clients
- Great written and oral communications
