Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Process Engineer to join our client's manufacturing facility in Lakeland.
In this role, you will be responsible for developing, optimizing, and maintaining manufacturing processes to ensure efficient, high-quality production. Your expertise will support continuous improvement initiatives and help streamline operations across various printing and packaging facilities.

Duties
- Design, develop, and implement manufacturing processes for a printing and packaging facility.
- Conduct root cause analysis to identify process inefficiencies or defects and develop corrective actions.
- Utilize CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and Creo to create detailed schematics and process layouts.
- Program and troubleshoot programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to automate manufacturing equipment and robotic systems.
- Lead projects involving robotics programming, CNC programming, CAM programming, and vision inspection systems to enhance automation.
- Collaborate with industrial engineering teams to optimize workflows using lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation including schematics, process flow diagrams, and tooling specifications.
- Support factory experience initiatives by ensuring compliance with ISO 9001 standards and other quality management systems.
- Oversee fabrication, tooling development, welding procedures, and mechanical assembly processes.
- Implement factory upgrades involving industrial equipment installation or modifications to improve productivity.
- Facilitate training sessions for assembly line staff on new processes or equipment operation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or related field; advanced degrees are a plus.
- Proven experience in process engineering within a printing or manufacturing facility environment
- Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Creo; experience with Schematics is essential.
- Strong understanding of CNC programming, CAM programming, robot programming, and vision inspection systems.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 standards and experience implementing continuous improvement strategies.
- Mechanical knowledge related to assembly lines, fabrication techniques, tooling design, and mechanical engineering principles.
- Ability to perform root cause analysis effectively using structured problem-solving techniques.
- Excellent project scheduling skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Strong communication skills for cross-functional collaboration across engineering, production, and quality teams.

Pay: $62,831.14 - $75,667.61 per year
