The Design Group is seeking an enthusiastic, entry-level Marketing Assistant to join our team! The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, English, Communications, Journalism, or related course of study, in addition to a solid understanding of content marketing, social media management & marketing, and search engine optimization and marketing.
Successful candidates will be highly motivated self starters with a strong work ethic and attention to detail. The ideal candidate will be adaptable, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Must be able to effectively multitask with multiple deadlines and work well under pressure. Must have very strong verbal and written communication skills via email, phone, and in person.
Primary Responsibilities
- Work with marketing team to support social media, content marketing, search engine optimization, email marketing and other key marketing projects
- Create social media content calendars and marketing calendars for a variety of clients across a range of verticals from B to B to B to C
- Develop powerful, keyword saturated content pieces aligned with client expectations, from blogs to case studies to white papers
- Reporting tasks, including analytics reviews, data gathering, analysis, and presentation development
- Collaborate with creative team to support content marketing projects and video
- Implement technical SEO related content strategies and tactics (meta data, schema, keyword strategies, etc.)
- Execution of link-building / Digital PR strategies
- Support account management tasks, including client communication, content and marketing calendars, budget monitoring, etc.
- Assist with task management, resource allocation and contract fulfillment monitoring through Project Management tools
Position Qualifications
- Advanced copy writing and editing skills; strong attention to grammar, writing techniques, spelling and professional content etiquette.
- Experience with social media management, developing social content and writing for social
- Exposure to Social Media Ad Campaigns
- Experience with content marketing - blogs, emails, website content, press releases, social media, etc.
- Ability to develop powerful, rich content on established subject matter
- Solid understanding of the Digital Marketing landscape and best practices
- Working Knowledge of Google Analytics
- A passion for data analysis and strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to conduct research and utilize tools to evaluate and recommend strategies and tactics
- Video/Photo/Digital media production experience in a personal or professional outlet for TV and/or social channels, including video, photography, a big plus
