The Events & Fundraising Marketing Trainee role is an entry-level opportunity designed for individuals interested in building a career in sales, marketing, fundraising, and leadership. This position focuses on hands-on, in-person event marketing while providing structured training in business development, territory management, and team leadership.
Trainees begin by managing short-term pop-up fundraising and promotional events on behalf of nonprofit partners. As skills develop, responsibilities expand into territory oversight, event coordination, and leadership support, creating a clear pathway into management-level roles.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Execute pop-up fundraising and promotional events within assigned communities
- Engage potential donors through face-to-face outreach and education
- Professionally represent nonprofit partners, their missions, and brand values
- Communicate program impact clearly and confidently to the public
- Track event performance, donor engagement, and daily results
- Support territory coverage, event scheduling, and logistics
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth event execution
- Participate in daily training, coaching sessions, and skill development workshops
Trainees receive structured training across multiple business disciplines, including:
- Marketing & Promotions – event marketing, brand representation, public engagement
- Fundraising Strategy – donor communication, ethical fundraising, impact storytelling
- Client & Brand Management – representing nonprofit partners with professionalism
- Territory Planning – event placement, coverage strategy, and scheduling
- Team Leadership – communication skills, mentoring, and performance development
This role is designed with long-term advancement in mind. Trainees who demonstrate strong performance, leadership ability, and consistency may advance into:
- Senior Events Representative
- Trainer / Team Lead
- Market or Territory Manager
