About the Role
The Operations Manager plays a critical leadership role within the organization. This position ensures that company priorities are executed, teams are aligned, and operational systems run efficiently.You will work closely with ownership to translate company goals into clear action plans while ensuring departments remain accountable for deadlines, performance metrics, and results.This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building structure, solving operational challenges, improving processes, and leading teams toward measurable outcomes. Our ideal candidate believes their responsibility is to help ensure the company achieves its goals, not simply to manage tasks, but also understands that there is no task outside the job description for those in management positions.
Key ResponsibilitiesOperational Leadership
- Oversee day-to-day operations across departments, including SEO, PPC, paid social, content, design, development, and client success
- Ensure company priorities and projects are completed on time
- Coordinate communication and workflow between departments
- Identify operational bottlenecks and implement effective solutions
- Ensure consistent delivery of high-quality work for our clients
Accountability and Performance Management
- Establish and track key performance metrics across departments
- Hold team members accountable for meeting commitments and goals
- Monitor operational performance and identify areas for improvement
- Maintain a culture of ownership, responsibility, and results
- Address performance gaps and help teams improve outcomes
Strategic Execution
- Work closely with leadership to turn company priorities into clear operational plans
- Track progress on major initiatives and company goals
- Ensure teams remain focused on the most important priorities
- Help leadership maintain alignment across departments
Process Improvement
- Develop and improve operational processes and systems
- Ensure team members follow established procedures and workflows
- Identify opportunities to increase efficiency and reduce errors
- Train and support team members in improved systems and processes
Problem Solving
- Identify operational challenges and root causes
- Facilitate productive discussions to resolve issues
- Implement solutions that prevent recurring problems
- Ensure obstacles are addressed quickly so the team can continue moving forward
Required Digital Marketing Hard Skills
Candidates must have a strong working knowledge of digital marketing operations and performance management across multiple channels.
Search Engine Optimization
- Strong understanding of local SEO and organic search ranking factors
- Significant experience working with SEO tools like as Search Atlas Ahrefs, SEMrush, BrightLocal, or similar platforms
- Understanding of keyword research, technical SEO, on-page SEO, and local map pack rankings
- Ability to review SEO strategies, analyze ranking performance, and identify opportunities for improvement
Pay Per Click Advertising
- Experience working with Google Ads campaigns, including search campaigns, conversion tracking, and optimization
- Understanding of cost per click, cost per lead, conversion rate, and return on ad spend
- Ability to analyze PPC campaign performance and identify opportunities for improvement
- Experience overseeing landing page performance and campaign testing
Marketing Analytics and Reporting
- Strong understanding of marketing performance metrics including traffic, leads, conversion rate, cost per lead, and customer acquisition cost
- Experience reviewing marketing data from Google Analytics, call tracking platforms, and reporting dashboards
- Ability to translate marketing performance data into operational decisions
Marketing Technology Platforms
- Experience working with marketing technology platforms such as CRM systems, call tracking platforms, reporting dashboards, and campaign management tools
- Experience managing workflows using project management tools (we use clickup)
Website and Landing Page Operations
- Basic understanding of WordPress or similar content management systems
- Ability to coordinate landing page creation, website updates, and conversion optimization improvements
- Understanding of how website performance impacts marketing campaigns
Artificial Intelligence and Marketing Technology
- Understanding of how artificial intelligence is impacting search engines, digital advertising, and content creation
- Experience using AI tools to improve marketing workflows, reporting, and content development
- Ability to evaluate AI generated marketing strategies and ensure quality and long term effectiveness
- Experience implementing AI tools to improve productivity across marketing teams
