We're looking for a passionate and creative Social Media Specialist to join our team and help us continue to inspire and connect with our audience.
The Role
As a Social Media Specialist at Dominique, you will be responsible for managing our online presence across various social platforms. You will create engaging content, collaborate with creators, schedule posts, and foster a positive community around our brand. Because this is a hybrid role, you will have the flexibility to work from home while also coming into our Los Angeles space to capture content. Your deep understanding of the beauty industry and your flair for visual storytelling will be key to your success in this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Content Creation & Strategy: Develop and execute creative content strategies aligned with our brand voice. Design, edit, and publish content that showcases our products, engages our audience, and drives brand awareness.
- Community Management: Monitor and manage all social media channels, responding to comments and messages in a timely and brand-appropriate manner. Build and maintain a positive relationship with our online community.
- Influencer Seeding & PR: Assist in identifying makeup artists, beauty creators, and micro-influencers for partnerships. Coordinate the packing and shipping of PR boxes for new product launches, and track their posting activity.
- Influencer & Creator Collaboration: Coordinate with beauty influencers and content creators to develop partnerships and campaigns that align with our brand values.
- Content Scheduling & Posting: Plan and schedule content across platforms, ensuring consistency in tone and timing. Analyze and adjust content strategies based on performance metrics.
- Trend Monitoring: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitor activities, and the latest social media innovations to keep our content fresh and relevant.
- Reporting & Analytics: Track and report on social media performance using analytics tools. Provide insights and recommendations to optimize content and campaigns.
Qualifications
- Experience: 1–2 years of experience in social media management, particularly within the beauty industry.
- Knowledge: In-depth understanding of beauty products, makeup techniques, and how they are presented online.
- Skills: Proficiency in content creation tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva), social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, etc.), and analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics).
- Creativity: A strong eye for design and aesthetics, with the ability to create visually compelling content.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen sense of the brand's tone and voice.
- Organization: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
