Job Summary:
The Investment Banking Analyst at Aquilo Partners plays a critical role in the execution of client transactions and the overall success of the firm. Analysts work directly with senior bankers and frequently interact with executive leadership teams at innovative life sciences companies. This is a highly visible role offering significant responsibility, mentorship, and opportunity for long-term career growth. Analysts will experience hands-on training and mentoring to develop the foundational knowledge and skills of an investment banker. Our small, collaborative team structure allows Analysts to gain broad exposure across transactions, clients, and strategic decision-making. We are deeply committed to developing our talent; many of our current senior bankers began their investment banking careers as Analysts with Aquilo.
Job Responsibilities:
- Execution of client transactions
- Financial modeling and valuation analysis
- Developing outreach materials for our clients as they seek acquisitions, strategic partnerships, or investments
- New business pitches and presentations
- Industry research to help identify potential buyers, acquisition targets, strategic partners, and investors
- Maintaining internal databases that are leveraged to assess company valuation, comparable transactions, and industry activity
- Conducting financial, scientific, and market due diligence
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- A degree from a top undergraduate institution with a record of high academic achievement
- Strong quantitative background and skills
- Excellent written, oral and interpersonal skills
- Spirited attention to detail and organization
- Interest in working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
- Education or experience in the life sciences is preferred
While no direct experience is necessary, some experience in a related field such as biotech/pharma, finance or consulting may be helpful. Candidates who currently work or have worked as Analysts at another investment bank are also welcome to apply.

Pay Range:
$75k salary + bonus. Bonus is expected to be a meaningful portion of total compensation.
