We are looking for an entry-level Financial Analyst to join our team on a contract basis in Cambridge, Massachusetts. In this role, you will provide essential administrative and financial support, ensuring accuracy and compliance across various processes. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with a foundational understanding of finance and accounting to gain valuable experience in a dynamic education-focused environment.
Responsibilities:
• Review and verify requisitions to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Proofread submitted travel approvals and related documentation.
• Monitor outstanding charges and reconcile discrepancies.
• Assist in grant administration with a focus on financial accuracy.
• Utilize Microsoft Excel for data analysis, including basic formulas.
• Support budgeting processes by compiling and organizing financial information.
• Maintain clear records and documentation for research and administrative purposes.
• Collaborate with team members to streamline administrative workflows.
• Provide equipment setup support for remote or onsite work as needed.
• Uphold organizational standards and policies in all financial operations.
• Possess 2-5 years of experience in a finance-related role.
• Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including familiarity with basic formulas.
• Have a foundational understanding of grants and accounting practices.
• Exhibit strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Show excellent proofreading and document review capabilities.
• Display effective communication and collaboration abilities.
• Ability to work remotely or onsite as required.
• Prior experience in budgeting or administrative support is highly desirable.
