Our subsidiary Global Markets Recruitment (“GMR”) is a dedicated recruitment firm focused on emerging and developed markets at entry to middle-management level.
We have been asked to asked by our client to run a campaign to identify entry level interns for this summer 2026. Our client is a bulge bracket bank and one of the pre-eminent investment banks.
This tier one firm works with us to select the highest calibre talent in the global markets at entry and experienced entry level across their global offices. We will run campaigns for them on an ongoing basis through the first half of this year.

You will either be placed in their FIG or TMT Group or possibly another division as they also seek cross industry people also in energy, Industrials, Healthcare and Consumer.
The role requires talent to advise clients on various financial transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, equity/equity-linked and debt financings, joint ventures, restructurings, and financial investments.
Your Focus
As an Investment Banking Analyst - Intern, your focus is on supporting clients through complex capital markets and advisory transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, and capital raising. You will work closely with senior bankers to analyse opportunities, structure transactions, and help clients make informed strategic decisions.
The role is execution-driven and detail-intensive. You will build and maintain financial analyses, support transaction execution, and contribute to client materials used in live deals. You will also help assess risk, ensure adherence to regulatory and compliance requirements, and maintain the highest standards of accuracy, judgement, and professionalism.
This role suits someone who is analytically rigorous, commercially aware, and motivated by working at pace on high-stakes transactions. You will be expected to take ownership of your work, communicate clearly with colleagues and clients, and contribute meaningfully to deal delivery in a demanding, regulated environment.
Responsibilities
- Support the execution of investment banking transactions, including M&A, capital raising, and strategic advisory mandates
- Build and maintain detailed financial models and analyses to evaluate transactions and strategic options
- Prepare client-facing materials, including pitch decks, information memoranda, and transaction documentation
- Conduct company, industry, and market research to support deal origination and execution
- Assist senior bankers in coordinating transaction workstreams and managing timelines
- Support due diligence processes, including data analysis and coordination with internal and external stakeholders
- Contribute to client development activities through research, analysis, and preparation of marketing materials
- Assess transaction-related risks and support adherence to regulatory, compliance, and internal control requirements
- Maintain high standards of accuracy, organisation, and confidentiality across all work
- Work effectively with colleagues across banking, markets, legal, risk, and compliance teams
This role is about supporting the execution of complex investment banking transactions and helping clients make informed strategic and capital decisions.
You can absorb detailed financial and commercial information quickly, analyse companies, transactions, and market conditions with rigour, and form clear, well-reasoned conclusions. You approach problems with structure and discipline, and you are comfortable working under pressure as deals progress and priorities evolve.
Minimum Qualifications
Graduate – Analyst
- At university studying any degree ideally in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, or a related discipline. We accept also individuals from any degree, especially those numerate based including Scientific, Engineering, Arts etc
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce clear client-ready materials
- High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities
- Sound judgement and a strong understanding of risk, compliance, and regulatory expectations

Reward Structure
- You will be well compensated for this time and the intern program will last for six weeks. We are running three programs from mid-June, end June and mid-July
- Receive a bonus for your time
- A permanent offer of employment and part of the Banks’ graduate program
- Relocation is provided by the company. Starting salaries $125,000 and up to $150,000 depending on experience
- Bonus program of on-target bonus of 50% of base salary and up to 125% for high-achievers
