Position Overview
The Pool & Backyard Designer will create custom outdoor living environments, including pools, spas,
patios, outdoor kitchens, masonry features, and plantings. Using Pool Studio and SketchUp, the
designer will produce detailed 2D plans and high-quality 3D renderings that bring clients’ visions to life
while ensuring construction feasibility and compliance with local codes.
Key Responsibilities
- Meet with clients to understand their design goals, preferences, and budgets.
- Design pools, spas, patios, masonry features, outdoor kitchens, and landscaping as part of a full
backyard plan.
- Produce accurate 2D layouts and realistic 3D renderings in Pool Studio and SketchUp.
- Integrate lighting, water features, plantings, and hardscaping into cohesive designs.
- Ensure designs comply with township setbacks, zoning, and construction requirements.
- Present designs clearly and professionally, revising based on client feedback.
- Work closely with the sales and construction teams to ensure feasibility, accuracy, and efficiency.
- Stay up to date with outdoor living design trends, materials, and technologies.
Qualifications
- Proficiency with Pool Studio and SketchUp (required).
- Experience in pool, landscape, or architectural design preferred.
- Strong creative eye and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of pool construction, masonry, and planting design.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
