Role Description
I’m looking to bring on a Creative Studio Intern to support the growing work of Deco Ave Creative Studio this summer. This is a great opportunity for someone interested in creative entrepreneurship, marketing, and behind-the-scenes studio operations.
Role Focus (May–July):
• Content creation + social media support
• Calendar and project coordination
• Client communication and administrative support
• Grant research and writing assistance
Details:
• Duration: May–July 2026
• Hours: 5-8 hours per week (flexible scheduling)
• Location: Hybrid (Chicago-based)
Qualifications
This role is ideal for someone who is organized, communicative, and excited about working within a creative, community-centered environment. You’ll gain hands-on experience supporting real projects while contributing to meaningful, purpose-driven work.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organized with attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Comfortable working independently and taking initiative
- Interest in creative studios, marketing, or arts/culture work
- Chicago-based and familiar with local creative community
Administrative + Client Support
- Comfortable with scheduling & project management tools (Google Calendar, Monday.com, Momence)
- Professional and responsive communication style
- Ability to handle client-facing tasks with care and clarity
Content + Marketing (Support might be minimal in this area, based on experience)
- Basic experience with social media platforms (Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.)
- Familiarity with content creation (Canva, Adobe Suite, or similar tools)
- Eye for design, storytelling, and brand consistency
- Ability to draft captions, emails, or light marketing copy
Grant Management Support (minimal in this area, based on experience)
- Strong research and writing skills
- Manage grant matrix
- Interest in nonprofit or arts funding (prior experience is a plus, not required)
- Ability to synthesize information clearly and concisely
