W. L. French Excavating (WLF) is one of New England's leading site contractors and environmental firms. We are looking for an Environmental Project Manager, ideally with a soil management background, to work collaboratively in a fast-paced construction environment
The Environmental Project Manager's role will involve the day-to-day planning and logistics of multi-stream waste management on some of the region's largest excavation, remediation, and soil disposal projects.
The listed salary range reflects the breadth of experience we are considering. Initial offers are typically positioned in the lower to mid-point, with flexibility for exceptional, highly qualified candidates.
What You'll Do:
- Review and interpret soil and groundwater analytical data
- Prepare proposals for the transportation and disposal of soils and construction waste
- Prepare and manage daily scheduling logistics with the dispatch team and clients
- Sample, characterize, and profile soils and construction waste for clients
- Prepare disposal packages for facility approval
- Technical writing and preparation of materials for team meetings and internal or external presentations with trade and or industry group memberships
- Manage financial aspects of projects, including expense/cost tracking and billing, to ensure job profitability
- The position will be approximately 90% in our North Billerica office and 10% in the field
Skills & Requirements:
- Three years + experience preferred in Environmental Project Management or an Environmental Consulting Background, including soils management and remediation
- Knowledge of state environmental regulations (MA, NH, ME, VT, CT) and federal regulations (EPA / RCRA / TSCA)
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills
- Excellent client relationship management and development skills
- Strong software knowledge to include proficiency in MS 365 Office Suite: MS Word, Excel, MS Office, OneNote, PowerPoint, etc.
- Excellent multitasking and organizational skills
- Ability to react quickly and professionally to resolve issues in a fast-changing environment
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in related field
- Great to have: CHMM Certification, OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPPER, Current OSHA 8-hour refresher
