Position Summary
- Develops improvement recommendations based on complex data and root cause analysis.
- Manages all areas of project management including planning, design, development, Implementation and ongoing maintenance of project(s).
- Keen focus on Process Improvement initiatives, Automation, driving effective Business System initiatives, and facilitating Kaizen Events.
- Maintains project scope focused on impacting one of the following: process, system, function, and/or product.
- Proactively leads projects by preparing project elements including project charter, scope, resource requirements (cost), project schedules, and milestones.
- Advocate for change, anticipate potential objections, and communicate difficult and complex ideas with ability to drive influence and lead others to adopt a different point of view when necessary.
- Perform stakeholder analysis to effectively coach & develop supportive sponsors, advocates, & champions of the proposed change and ensure successful implementation/adoption.
- Facilitate effective project team meetings minimizing waste by maintaining focus, managing the conversation, meeting project objectives, and providing key takeaways.
- Leads collaboration across all parties to gain buy-in, develop solutions, and guide project team through completion.
- Builds communication plan & schedule for successful implementation and ensures project team and all impacted stakeholders are informed of progress, key dates, and next steps.
- Develops effective project plans demonstrating leadership in planning & monitoring all project tasks, assigning ownership, and holding project team to target deadlines.
- Assist with the management of internal relationships, processes, and performance, and identify issues that may stall project and working with leadership to resolve through effective risk management.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of 3 years prior project management experience
- Demonstrated strong negotiation skills
- Strong organizational & time management skills
- Ability to communicate to multiple levels of leadership
- Proficient in MS Office Suite, including, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint, MS Teams
- Strong technical skills working with databases including Quickbase, SQL, MS Access
- Experience developing workflow & process documents
- Experience in data analysis with ability to present and support clear and concise findings
- Experience identifying process improvement opportunities & proposed solutions supported by data analysis, including leading stakeholders through Five Whys and root cause analysis of issues
- Ability to work independently
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with claim rework a plus
Six Sigma certification a plus
Experience working to develop Automation Anywhere RPA production bot processes
Microsoft Power Apps, Power Automate
Microsoft Visio experience - could be trained
We support a hybrid work environment. If selected and you live near a suitable work location, you may be expected to comply with the hybrid work policy. Under the policy, all hires for in-scope populations should be placed into a hybrid or office-based location, working onsite three days a week.
Aetna Service Operations office/hub locations will be discussed with the selected candidate.

Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
$54,300.00 - $159,120.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
