PMO Budget Analyst / Business Analyst
Contract Position – 6 Months

About the Opportunity
We are seeking a highly analytical and results-driven PMO Budget Analyst / Business Analyst to support National Grid's Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) Program. This role serves as a critical link between program stakeholders and the PMO Finance team, helping drive financial transparency, strategic decision-making, and overall program performance.
The ideal candidate combines strong financial acumen with business partnership skills and can transform complex financial and operational data into meaningful insights for senior leadership.
What You'll Do:
- Analyze complex financial and operational data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Develop actionable recommendations that support executive decision-making.
- Build and maintain financial models, forecasts, and scenario analyses.
- Create management reports and dashboards that clearly communicate program performance.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and performance management activities across the AMI program.
- Partner with stakeholders across finance, operations, and project teams to align financial objectives with business priorities.
- Evaluate financial variances, identify root causes, and recommend process improvements.
- Apply knowledge of work order management, cost allocations, capitalization processes, and charge-out methodologies.
- Help strengthen financial controls, reporting accuracy, and operational efficiency.
- Present findings and recommendations to leadership in a clear and concise manner.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, Mathematics, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in:
- Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
- Finance
- Business Analysis
- Business Partnering
- Related analytical disciplines
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Strong PowerPoint presentation capabilities
- Experience with financial modeling, forecasting, and performance reporting
Preferred:
- MBA or Master's degree
- Experience with SAP, Power BI, or similar reporting and analytics tools
- Experience supporting large-scale programs, utilities, energy, or infrastructure projects

Pay: $55.00 - $60.00 per hour
