The Role
We are looking for a sharp, resourceful Associate to work directly alongside the Managing Partner as a true right hand across all facets of fund operations, deal sourcing, investor relations, and internal systems. This is not a back-office support role. You will be deeply embedded in the investment process, LP communications, and the technology infrastructure that powers our firm. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable building a financial model, drafting investor outreach, managing a CRM pipeline, and shipping a workflow automation.
This is a part-time position (20 to 40 hours per week) with meaningful exposure to every dimension of running a venture growth fund.
What You'll Do
Investment Operations & Deal Support
- Support due diligence efforts including company research, competitive analysis, financial modeling, and preparation of investment committee materials
- Maintain and manage deal, LP, founder, and VC pipelines in CRM, ensuring data accuracy and timely updates across all stages of engagement
- Source and vet potential investments across primary rounds and secondary market channels
- Track portfolio company developments and flag relevant updates for the investment team
Investor Relations & Outreach
- Draft and manage LP communications, outreach, and co-investment syndications
- Execute multi-channel outreach campaigns to LPs, VCs, and founders
- Prepare and distribute LP-facing materials including newsletters, pipeline reports, and meeting summaries
- Manage sequencing and scheduling of outreach cadences, tracking engagement and conversion across the funnel
Systems, Automation & Internal Tools
- Build and optimize workflow automations that increase the team's operational leverage
- Contribute to the development and refinement of internal AI-powered tools (email drafting, CRM enrichment, outreach sequencing)
- Improve prompts, templates, and protocols for AI-assisted processes across the firm
- Provide feedback and testing support on internal applications as they scale
What We're Looking For
Required
- 1 to 3 years of experience in venture capital, growth equity, investment banking, or a closely related investing role
- Strong understanding of the venture growth landscape: late-stage private companies, secondary markets, IPO dynamics, and how funds operate
- Proficiency with CRM platforms (Affinity strongly preferred) and outreach/sequencing tools
- Excellent written communication skills with the ability to draft polished, professional correspondence on behalf of the firm
- High attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple workstreams independently in a fast-paced, small-team environment
Strongly Preferred
- Familiarity with software development concepts and tools; comfort working with APIs, automation platforms, and AI-assisted workflows (Python, Power Automate, or similar)
- Experience with financial modeling and valuation analysis for private companies
- Knowledge of secondary market platforms (Forge, Nasdaq Private Market, Zanbato, etc.)
- Existing network or exposure to the VC and founder ecosystem
Who Thrives Here
- You are proactive, not reactive. You see a gap in a process and fix it before being asked.
- You are comfortable context-switching between investor communications, deal analysis, and technical projects in a single day.
- You take ownership.
- You are intellectually curious about markets, technology, and how great companies are built.
