More About The Role
Burson is seeking a Junior Designer to join our team, supporting healthcare and pharmaceutical clients across a range of integrated communications programs. This is an early-career role designed for a designer with strong foundational skills who is eager to learn, gain agency experience, and grow within a collaborative, fast-paced environment. Working under the guidance of senior creatives, you will help translate complex healthcare information into clear, engaging visual content while gaining hands-on exposure to regulated communications, brand systems, and agency workflows.
What You'll Do
- Support the design and production of healthcare and pharma communications across digital and print, including presentations, campaign assets, social content, reports, and corporate materials
- Execute design direction provided by Senior Designers, applying brand guidelines and visual standards accurately and consistently
- Assist with the development of storyboards and mood boards to support creative concepts and campaign ideas
- Design, update, and refine client-facing presentations, ensuring strong visual hierarchy, clarity, and attention to detail
- Create visuals for quantitative and qualitative data as clear and polished charts, infographics, and graphs
- Contribute to the creation and adaptation of social content, including static posts, GIFs, and basic animations and video
- Reformat, resize, and adapt existing artwork for multiple platforms, channels, and specifications
- Support projects requiring work within regulated healthcare environments, learning Medical, Legal, and Regulatory (MLR) review processes
- Manage assigned tasks across multiple projects while meeting deadlines and maintaining quality
- Collaborate with designers, copywriters, account teams, and other creatives as part of an integrated team
- Participate in feedback sessions and learning opportunities to continue developing design skills
Experience That Contributes To Success
- 1–2 years of professional design experience, including internships or entry-level roles
- A portfolio demonstrating strong design fundamentals such as typography, layout, composition, and visual storytelling
- Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere Pro, After Effects) and PowerPoint
- Ability to follow creative direction and apply feedback thoughtfully
- Willingness to learn new tools, platforms, and regulated healthcare processes
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks
- Curiosity about design, culture, and trends, with interest in healthcare or purpose-driven work
- Collaborative mindset and openness to mentorship and growth

The base salary for this position at the time of this posting may range between:
$35,000—$75,000 USD
