Compensation
Salary: $80k/yr – $110k/yr
Job Summary
We are seeking a polished, analytically minded Retirement Plan Specialist to join our team. This role sits at the intersection of client servicing, investment analysis, and business development. The right candidate will eventually take primary ownership of investment committee meetings, leading presentations, breaking down complex investment topics for
plan sponsors, and delivering actionable insights with confidence. This is a highexpectation role suited for someone who thrives under pressure and takes pride in producing excellent work.
Summary of Responsibilities
- Lead and support investment committee meetings, including preparation, presentation delivery, and follow-up, eventually serving as a point of contact for plan sponsors during these reviews
- Break down complex investment and retirement plan topics into clear, digestible language for clients of varying financial sophistication
- Prepare detailed analyses and proposals for prospective clients by gathering and interpreting plan sponsor investment and current fee data to create pricing, profitability, and benchmarking comparisons using RPAG
- Support prospecting efforts to identify and develop new business opportunities
- Analyze target markets and identify potential new business opportunities
- Provide administrative support including activities with third-party recordkeepers, distribution of recurring plan investment reviews, and assisting in resolving client requests
- Provide plan design analysis and recommendations
- Perform other duties as assigned
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Economics, Finance, or a related field — or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- 3–5 years of experience within the financial services industry
- Series 7 & 66 preferred, or willingness to obtain licenses or designations
Required Skills/Abilities
- Exceptional presentation skills with the ability to communicate complex financial and investment concepts clearly and confidently to diverse audiences
- Strong understanding of financial services products, particularly retirement plans and investment products and services
- Solid analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify issues and recommend appropriate follow-up action
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external clients
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite including PowerPoint and Adobe
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of deliverables without close supervision
- Familiarity with RPAG, Morningstar, Pershing/NetX360, Rixtrema or other equivalent platforms preferred
