Overview
We are seeking a skilled CAD Designer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating detailed designs and drawings using CAD software, ensuring that all projects meet industry standards and client specifications. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical design principles and the ability to collaborate effectively with engineers and project managers.
Duties
- Develop and draft detailed 2D and 3D models using CAD software, including Revit and NavisWorks.
- Assemble components and create layouts for mechanical systems, ensuring compliance with codes and standards.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to refine designs based on feedback and project requirements.
- Utilize Bluebeam for document management and collaboration on design revisions.
- Conduct thorough reviews of designs to identify potential issues or improvements before finalizing.
- Maintain accurate documentation of design processes and changes throughout the project lifecycle.
Skills
- Proficiency in CAD software, AutoCAD, Microvellum and Bluebeam.
- Strong mechanical design skills with the ability to draft intricate designs.
- Familiarity with industry codes and standards relevant to mechanical design.
- Experience in 2D animation is a plus, enhancing presentation capabilities of designs.
- Excellent attention to detail, ensuring precision in all drafts and assemblies.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration within a team environment.
