The opportunity:
Smurfit Westrock is seeking a Marketing Manager, Home, Beauty, Personal Care, & Healthcare (HBH) to support organic growth across home, beauty, personal care, and healthcare end markets through insight-led, analytically-driven marketing strategies.
Reporting to the Director of Marketing, HBH, this role will focus on building a deep understanding of HBH end markets—including beauty, personal care, OTC healthcare, home care, and medical-related segment sand translating market and customer insights into targeted marketing strategies that support sales growth and portfolio adoption. A core emphasis of this role is end market analytics, identifying trends that influence packaging demand, materials, formats, sustainability expectations, and go-to-market opportunities.
How you will impact Smurfit Westrock:
Marketing Strategy
* Serve as a marketing partner and point of contact for the HBH sales teams, supporting customer and segment-level growth initiatives
* Support the development and activation of end market strategies by analyzing HBH end market data to identify priority sub-segments, emerging trends, and attractive profit pools
* Review end market and customer analytics to understand trends impacting packaging demand, including product innovation, regulatory changes, sustainability requirements, channel shifts, and consumer behavior
* Translate market insights into actionable marketing strategies, value propositions, and campaign priorities that help sales teams win with customers
* Develop a strong working knowledge of Smurfit Westrock’s HBH portfolio of packaging solutions and assess applicability to customer and end market needs
* Partner with innovation to identify portfolio gaps and provide insight-based input on new product or solution opportunities
Content Development
* Collaborate with marketing communications to develop industry-relevant content, including thought leadership, sales tools, and case studies that demonstrate Smurfit Westrock’s HBH expertise
* Support marketing communications in activating targeted campaigns for HBH customers and segments; track performance and share insights with sales and marketing partners
* Build foundational expertise in HBH customer buying behaviors and decision drivers through close partnership with Sales and Design teams
Sales Enablement
* Contribute to sales enablement efforts by developing training materials and messaging that improve sales credibility and demonstrates Smurfit Westrock’s differentiated value proposition with HBH customers
* Assist with preparation for customer meetings, internal strategy discussions, and industry events
What you need to succeed:
* Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Analytics, or a related field
* 5+ years of experience in marketing, market intelligence, analytics, or a related commercial role
* Experience in or exposure to Home, Beauty, Personal Care, or Healthcare industries (brand, packaging, CPG, or adjacent industries) preferred
* Strong analytical mindset, with experience using data to identify trends, identify market sizes, and support strategic decisions
* Demonstrated interest in end market analysis, customer insights, and understanding how external trends impact demand
* Experience partnering with sales or cross-functional teams to support growth initiatives
* Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate data into clear insights and recommendations
* Comfort working in a collaborative, matrixed organization
