Role Description This is an unpaid part-time, hybrid Social Media Management Intern role based in New York, NY, with a mix of on-site and work-from-home hours. The intern will support daily social media activities, including planning and scheduling posts, drafting captions, and optimizing content for platforms such as Meta, youtube, Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook. Responsibilities include monitoring comments and direct messages, engaging with the community, and escalating customer or brand inquiries as needed. The intern will help develop and execute content calendars, assist with basic graphic or video content creation, and coordinate with team members on campaigns and product launches. Will manage and coordinate with an existing group of interns to manage all social platforms. In this role, the intern will track social media metrics, compiling simple performance reports, and suggesting data-informed improvements to increase reach, engagement, and brand awareness.
Qualifications
- Strong Social Media Marketing and Social Media Optimization (SMO) skills, with familiarity across major platforms (e.g., Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Pinterest).
- Effective Communication and Writing skills, with the ability to create clear, engaging, and brand-appropriate copy.
- Interest or experience in Content Strategy, including planning content calendars and aligning posts with brand themes and campaigns.
- Attention to detail, time management skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic understanding of social media analytics and comfort using scheduling or analytics tools is preferred.
- Demonstrated interest in fashion, jewelry, or purpose-driven brands is beneficial.
- Currently enrolled in or recently completed a program in Marketing, Communications, Fashion, or a related field is a plus.
- Ability to work on-site in New York, NY for 2 days a week and independently when remote.
