Role Description The Account Officer is a full-time, on-site role based in New York, NY. This role is responsible for managing day-to-day account activities, including reviewing financial data, monitoring account performance, and preparing or analyzing financial reports to support decision-making. The Account Officer will maintain strong relationships with internal teams and external partners, responding to inquiries, resolving account issues, and ensuring accurate and timely billing and collections. Daily tasks include reconciling account balances, tracking payments, supporting budgeting and forecasting, and maintaining organized records. The role also involves collaborating with sales, operations, and leadership to improve financial processes, support customer satisfaction, and contribute to the company’s growth objectives.
Qualifications
- Strong finance and accounting foundation, including familiarity with finance principles and the ability to interpret financial statements.
- Well-developed analytical skills to review account data, identify variances, and provide clear, data-driven insights.
- Customer service and communication skills to manage inquiries, resolve issues, and maintain professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficiency with spreadsheets and accounting or ERP software; strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and reporting.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment, and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Experience in consumer goods, retail, or manufacturing environments is beneficial; interest in the fragrance or beauty industry is a plus.
