Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering (or related technical field) or equivalent experience/combined education
- Mechanical design skills using CREO or equivalent to develop 3D models and drawings
- Proficiency with Basic GD&T
- Demonstrated ability to work with multi-disciplinary engineers to develop mechanical designs
- US Citizen required with the ability to obtain/maintain a Top Secret clearance, no clearance required to start.

Lockheed Martin is seeking a mechanical engineer to aid in structural design activities for a next generation space craft program. Design support is needed through preliminary design review (PDR), critical design review (CDR), and hardware production activity. The incumbent will assist in the development of the baseline design package, perform trade studies, and ensure a seamless transition of engineering data, requirements, and documentation into the detailed design phase and into production.
Desired Skills
- Experience generating PowerPoint chart content in support of design reviews
- Experience with design for manufacturability for aerospace hardware
- Proficiency with Intermediate GD&T
- Proficiency performing bolted joint tolerance analysis
- Proficiency managing engineering data sets within configuration management tools
