Role Description The Capital Market Associate is a full-time, hybrid role based in Boston, MA, with flexibility to work from home part of the time. This role supports capital markets, investment, and retirement teams through financial analysis, market research, and preparation of materials for internal stakeholders and external clients. The associate will build and maintain financial models, support due diligence on investment strategies and managers, and assist in monitoring market trends and competitive positioning. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing presentations, reports, and commentary on capital markets, collaborating with portfolio management, product, distribution, and retirement teams, and responding to data and analysis requests. The individual will also help ensure data accuracy, contribute to cross-functional projects, and support the development of tools and insights that enhance client and advisor engagement.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Finance and capital markets, with knowledge of investment products, asset classes, and retirement solutions.
- Proficiency in Financial Modeling and quantitative analysis to evaluate strategies, scenarios, and market impacts.
- Excellent Analytical Skills and attention to detail to interpret data, identify trends, and present actionable insights.
- Experience with Due Diligence on investment strategies, managers, or products, including qualitative and quantitative assessment.
- Effective Communication skills, including the ability to translate complex financial concepts into clear written and verbal messages for diverse audiences.
- Advanced skills in Excel and familiarity with financial data tools (e.g., Bloomberg, Morningstar, FactSet) preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field; progress toward or interest in CFA or similar designation is a plus.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a hybrid environment, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
