We are a small but mighty agency that specializes in social media strategy, short-form video, content creation, campaign execution, paid media, community-centered marketing, and bringing visibility to businesses that deserve to be seen.
We are looking for a full-time Marketing Consultant to join our team and help manage client accounts, lead creative campaigns, and bring fresh ideas to life across platforms like Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, email, and beyond.
About the Role
This is a creative, hands-on marketing position for someone who lives and breathes social media. You know what is trending, what is going viral, what makes people stop scrolling, and how to translate that energy into smart marketing campaigns for real businesses.
The Marketing Consultant will work directly with Luis Quiroz, Lead Consultant and CEO of Trending Socials, while taking ownership of select client projects from beginning to end. This person should be highly creative, organized, trend-aware, and capable of managing campaigns independently with strategic guidance and collaboration.
This role is ideal for someone who can think like a strategist, create like a content producer, write like a marketer, and execute like a project manager.
Key Responsibilities
Client Strategy & Account Management
- Manage select Trending Socials client accounts with guidance from the Lead Consultant.
- Support client onboarding, campaign planning, content calendars, and project timelines.
- Attend client meetings, take notes, identify next steps, and keep projects moving forward.
- Help translate client goals into clear marketing strategies and actionable campaigns.
- Maintain strong communication with clients and internal collaborators.
Social Media & Creative Campaigns
- Develop creative content ideas for Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, and other platforms.
- Stay on top of social media trends, viral formats, platform updates, and emerging content styles.
- Write captions, hooks, scripts, ad copy, email copy, and campaign messaging.
- Support the creation of Reels, TikToks, graphics, photo concepts, and campaign visuals.
- Help direct or capture content during shoots, events, business visits, and client activations.
- Bring strong visual instincts and creative direction to every project.
Paid Media & Campaign Execution
- Support paid social campaigns across Meta, Instagram, Facebook, and other platforms.
- Help create ad copy, campaign creative, targeting recommendations, and basic performance reports.
- Monitor campaign performance and suggest improvements based on results.
- Understand how organic content, paid media, and audience growth work together.
Project Management
- Oversee assigned projects from concept to execution.
- Manage deadlines, deliverables, client feedback, and campaign timelines.
- Coordinate with designers, photographers, video editors, interns, contractors, and vendors as needed.
- Keep internal systems organized and make sure nothing falls through the cracks.
Reporting & Optimization
- Track social media performance, campaign results, and client growth.
- Prepare simple reports that explain what worked, what improved, and what should happen next.
- Use data, trends, and audience insights to inform future content and campaign strategy.
Who We’re Looking For
You may be a great fit if you are:
- Deeply plugged into social media, internet culture, trends, viral content, and platform behavior.
- Creative, resourceful, and excited by the challenge of helping small businesses stand out.
- Strong at writing captions, hooks, scripts, and marketing copy.
- Comfortable with both strategy and execution.
- Familiar with Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Meta Business Suite, Canva, CapCut, and content planning tools.
- Experienced with paid social media campaigns and paid media.
- Organized enough to manage multiple clients and deadlines at once.
- Comfortable working directly with business owners and community partners.
- Able to take feedback well and turn ideas around quickly.
- Independent, proactive, and confident enough to own projects while still collaborating closely with a small team.
Preferred Experience
- 2–5 years of experience in social media marketing, digital marketing, content creation, campaign management, or a related role.
- Experience managing social media accounts for businesses, brands, nonprofits, restaurants, retailers, or community organizations.
- Experience creating or directing short-form video content for Instagram Reels and TikTok.
- Experience with Meta Ads Manager, boosted posts, or paid social campaigns.
- Strong writing skills and a good eye for design.
- Experience working in a small agency, startup, freelance, or fast-moving creative environment is a plus.
- Spanish language skills are a plus, but not required.
- Familiarity with San Francisco neighborhoods, small business corridors, cultural districts, or community-based marketing is a plus.
Compensation
Salary range: $66,000–$72,000 annually, depending on experience.
This is a full-time position with room to grow as the agency grows. Compensation will be based on experience, skill level, ability to independently manage client work, and strength across social media strategy, creative execution, paid media, and project management.
Location & Schedule
This is a San Francisco Bay Area-based role with a hybrid schedule. Some work may be remote, but the role will require in-person availability for client meetings, content shoots, business visits, events, and campaign activations.
