The Role
We’re hiring a Client Strategy & Sales Associate to own the front end of our client relationships and help convert inbound interest into contracted projects. You’ll sit at the intersection of sales, client strategy, and creative development — running discovery calls, shaping video concepts and messaging, writing and pricing proposals, and coordinating with our filmmakers to bring the right creative vision to each pitch. It’s a high-ownership role for someone who is equally comfortable talking to a founder about their company’s narrative and building the deck that wins the deal.
You’ll work closely with our sales lead, founder, and creative team, and you’ll touch nearly every active and prospective account.
What You'll Do
- Run discovery and intro calls with inbound prospects to understand their goals, audience, budget, and the story they want to tell.
- Develop custom proposals for prospective clients based on their needs (branding, social media strategy, launch videos, etc)
- Write, structure, and price video proposals, including scoping deliverables and defining options and packages that fit each client’s budget.
- Build and refine pitch and proposal decks in Google Slides, keeping them polished, on-brand, and tailored to each account.
- Coordinate with filmmakers and the creative team to pressure-test whether concepts are feasible to produce and to translate ideas into production plans.
- Manage client communication end-to-end — timely follow-ups, scheduling, and keeping deals moving through the pipeline.
- Track and organize the sales pipeline, surfacing status, next steps, and blockers in daily C&S standups.
- Partner with the sales lead and founder on strategy for high-priority accounts and larger opportunities.
What We're Looking For
- 1–4+ years in a client-facing role such as sales, account management, business development, agency client services, strategy, or creative producing.
- Strong writing skills — you can turn a messy call into a crisp proposal and a clear creative concept.
- A creative instinct for storytelling and messaging; you can pitch an idea for a video and explain why it will land.
- Excellent communication and follow-through; you’re responsive, organized, and reliable with clients and internal partners.
- Comfort building clean, persuasive decks (Google Slides / Docs) and working across Google Workspace, Slack, and email.
- Ability to juggle many accounts at once and stay on top of details in a fast-moving environment.
- Genuine interest in technology, startups, and film/video — curiosity about the companies we work with goes a long way.
Nice to Have
- Experience at a creative agency, video/production studio, or in a startup go-to-market role.
- Familiarity/interest in deep tech and sales
Details & Compensation
- Engagement: Full-time contractor (1099 / consulting agreement).
- Location: On-site, San Francisco
- Compensation: approximately $80,000–$100,000 per year commensurate with experience.
