Job Title: Development Engineer/ Mechanical Engineer
Job Location: Irvine, CA/ San Jose, CA
Job Description:
- Assist in the design and development of high-power connectors and cable assemblies
- Create and maintain 3D CAD models and drawings using SolidWorks
- Support CAE/FEA analysis including thermal, mechanical, and electrical evaluations
- Apply GD&T principles and participate in tolerance analysis activities
- Work closely with senior engineers, manufacturing, quality, and cross-functional teams
- Support customer technical activities as FAE/SE, including understanding customer requirement, technical communication, and testing support
- Participate in prototype builds, validation testing, and engineering documentation
- Learn and grow technical capability through active participation in project development
- Support project execution through collaboration with global teams and customers
- Domestic and international travel may be required for customer support, project reviews, and manufacturing coordination
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field
- Entry-level candidates or early career engineers are encouraged to apply
- Basic knowledge of heat transfer and electrical fundamentals preferred
- Exposure to connector design, EV, or data center applications is a plus
- Experience or academic background in CAD (SolidWorks preferred)
- Familiarity with CAE/FEA tools is desirable
- Understanding of GD&T concepts and tolerance analysis fundamentals
- Strong teamwork mindset, positive learning attitude, and willingness to grow with projects
- Good communication and collaboration skills
- Language: English required; Chinese is a plus
