Summary
We are seeking a CAD Designer to support semiconductor construction projects, specializing in 2nd hook-up design, tool installation coordination, and field layout drafting. This role will focus on developing accurate CAD drawings for piping, electrical, mechanical hook-ups, and equipment installation within cleanroom and high-tech manufacturing environments.
The ideal candidate has strong CAD skills and experience working with construction, semiconductor facilities, or industrial installation projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and revise CAD drawings for semiconductor tool hook-up and installation projects.
- Develop 2D/3D layouts for mechanical, electrical, and process piping (MEP) systems.
- Support 2nd hook-up design including gas, chemical, vacuum, exhaust, and slurry systems.
- Coordinate with field engineers, project managers, and construction teams to ensure design accuracy.
- Interpret P&IDs, site surveys, and engineering specifications to produce installation drawings.
- Update as-built drawings based on field conditions and installation changes.
- Ensure compliance with semiconductor cleanroom standards and safety requirements.
- Manage drawing revisions and maintain proper documentation control.
- Support clash detection and coordination between multiple systems.
Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Drafting, Engineering, Mechanical Design, or related field preferred.
- 2+ years of CAD drafting/design experience (construction or industrial environment preferred).
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (required); experience with 3D tools such as SolidWorks, Revit, or Navisworks is a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, P&IDs, and technical specifications.
- Familiarity with MEP systems or semiconductor facility infrastructure strongly preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in fast-paced project environments.
- Good communication skills and teamwork mindset.

- Semiconductor construction or fab facility experience.
- Tool hook-up / equipment installation design experience.
- Cleanroom construction or high-purity gas/chemical systems.
- Field surveying or as-built documentation experience.
