About the role JSAN Consulting is hiring a senior Licensed Land Surveyor for a 6-month contract supporting a statewide Virginia transportation program — a strong fit for a surveyor with 15+ years of progressive experience ready to lead field and office survey operations.
What you'll do
- Same core scope as our mid-senior Licensed Surveyor opening, at a higher level of independent responsibility: LIDAR point cloud evaluation and processing, boundary determination from plats/deeds, and direct supervision of all field and office survey activities
- Own quality assurance across all geospatial deliverables to ensure data quality standards are consistently met
- Support planning of land and subdivisions in addition to boundary and topographic survey work
What you'll need
- 15+ years of progressive land surveying experience
- Active Virginia Professional Land Surveyor (LS) license required [CONFIRM: comity/reciprocity timeline acceptable?]
- Bachelor's degree in Geospatial Science, Land Surveying, or related field (preferred, not required)
Pay: From $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
