Home Textile Designer

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Licensing Coordinator to join our Home Textiles team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a portfolio of 20+ premier licensed brands and collaborate across Design, Sales, Production, and external licensing partners to bring branded home products to market.
We are seeking a creative and experienced Home Textile Designer to develop trend-right, commercially viable product across licensed brands, private label, mass-market, and off-price retail.
Responsibilities
- Design across soft home categories including bedding, throws, blankets, decorative pillows, bath textiles
- Research trends and develop seasonal concepts, color palettes, prints, patterns, CADs, and buyer presentations
- Translate brand DNA and retailer direction into commercial, price-point appropriate product
- Create original artwork, seamless repeats, placements, colorways, and production-ready files
- Respond to buyer and Sales requests with quick-turn concepts, recolors, and product updates
- Create tech packs and communicate artwork, color, construction, materials, and finishing details to Production team
- Review strike-offs, lab dips, samples, and prototypes and provide clear revision comments
- Manage multiple brands, accounts, and deadlines simultaneously
Qualifications
- 4+ years of home textile, soft home, or related product design experience
- Comfortable working 5 days a week in our NY office
- Experience with licensed brands, private label, mass-market, or off-price retail preferred
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
- Experience using ai tools to create realistic CAD renderings
- Strong portfolio demonstrating print, pattern, color, CAD, and product development skills
- Knowledge of textile constructions, production techniques, and Pantone color standards
- Experience working with overseas factories and reviewing production samples
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to work quickly, prioritize, and adapt to changing business needs
- Collaborative, detail-oriented, and commercially minded
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate has a strong eye for color, print, pattern, and product design, along with hands-on experience taking home textile collections from concept through production. This role works closely with the Design Director, Sales, Product Development, licensors, and overseas factories to develop collections from initial concept through production.
Pay: $55,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
