Summary Description
A Quality Assurance Technician to support the Quality and Operations teams. This position will play a key role in the development and execution of the Quality Management System and reports to the Quality Manager.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and run non-conforming materials process with the Quality Manager.
- Document Quality Certifications for customers
- Perform in-process inspection in all depts.
- Perform dock audits as required
- Perform receiving inspection as required
- Perform document control activities as needed
- Verfy that quality specifications are being met and take appropriate action when requirements are not met
- Support the development and documentation of the quality system.
- Host daily MRB meetings to determine final disposition of non-conforming material.
- Open, update, close, and report on nonconformance records
- Identify potential product, process and/or quality system nonconformances; communicate and escalate, as needed.
- Document quality criteria and train operations on customer quality requirements.
- Perform calibration on gages and instruments as required.
- Provide Quality support to production lines.
- Perform special projects as assigned by Quality Manager.
- Provide back up on other QA functions as required.
- Responsible to follow all company policy and procedures.
- Perform any other job-related tasks as assigned
Knowledge and Skills:
- Ability to read and interpret procedures and technical drawings.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings and perform the required measurements.
- Above average computer skills, experience using EXCEL (Pivot charts), WORD, etc.
- Ability to accurately use basic measuring devices. (calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and others)
- Knowledge and understanding in the use of a Coordinate Measuring Machine.
- Must have a quality mind set.
- A self-starter who demonstrates an aptitude for organization.

Qualifications and Education Requirements
- High School Diploma required
- Familiar with ISO 9001-2015 standard preferred
- Above average computer skills. Familiar with EXCEL and WORD
- Experience and success in building, achieving, and sustaining a strong Quality Culture throughout the organization
Schedule:
Job Type: Full Time
Typical work week is Monday - Thurs. (10 hour shifts) 6:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

Work Environment:
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
