Design Manager
Role Overview:
Slick City is a rapidly growing entertainment concept, and we are seeking a dynamic professional to join our team as Design Manager. The role will be responsible for overseeing the development, ongoing improvement, and implementation of the Slick City Design Standards, review of architect plan sets and RFIs, managing the design pipeline and producing plans.
The Design Manager will be responsible for ensuring consistency and adherence to standards. The role will be responsible for all coordination with Architects for details and RFIs.
Responsibilities:
· Manage Slick City Design Standards Package, plan templates, and change logs. Coordinate revisions with internal team and external vendors.
· Manage design pipeline and design processes
· Manage internal designers, coordinate with external vendors, and create space plans as needed to manage design workload.
· Coordinate with key stakeholders, external vendors, and attraction design team for park design.
· Coordinate Design Standards integration of architectural scope with detailed schedules, FF&E, specialty equipment, and all other details required to open a park
· Continually improve finishes and design details in response to operational challenges and feedback from park operations.
· Coordinate implementation of Design Standards into Architectural plan sets for each park, respond to RFIs.
· Review plan sets for compliance with Design Standards
· Manage transmittals to Corporate team, Franchisees and external vendors.
· Establish and maintain relationships with architectural vendors.
· Communicate with cross functional teams, Franchisees, and vendors.
· Participate in project meetings.
· Coordinate design deviation reviews with other departments (Operations, Marketing and Risk Management).
· Other responsibilities, as assigned.
Qualifications:
· Associate’s degree in Architecture or Drafting & Design, or a combination of equivalent education and experience.
· Minimum 5 years experience as a designer/drafter, with extensive detailing experience.
· Strong knowledge of construction and architectural review process.
· Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Office products, including Word and Excel.
· Experience with commercial and retail development is preferred.
· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to work both independently and as a member of a team.
· Ability to prioritize tasks to meet established deadlines.
· Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve.
