We are looking for a trustworthy, reliable, communicative team member to help us grow our architectural & design firm. As a Designer at Verdant Studio, you will work closely with the project team to develop Construction Documents and Specifications in accordance with the design intent articulated by the project architect/manager, designer, or client lead. Projects may be bespoke commercial, residential, or tenant infill for national retail brands.
The ideal candidate will exhibit high standards in attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and have an ability to take initiative, and prioritize daily tasks. A strong ability to take charge and meet tight deadlines will ensure your success in this role. We use a variety of softwares depending on the project, but our primary software is ArchiCAD. We also use AutoCAD, Revit, Sketchup, and Rhino. We do not expect new hires to know ArchiCAD but that you willing to learn over time.
Required Skills
- Foster and maintain a collaborative professional working relationship with the entire Team, Consultants, and Clients.
- Participate in multiple projects concurrently.
- Support the project team in the development of the design, production, and coordination of the technical files and all documents in the drawing set.
- Work with the project team to produce Construction Documents and Specifications
- Maintain a good rapport with associated partners, i.e. builders, consultants, product sales representatives, IT providers, and delivery personnel.
- Conduct product research and prepare reports such as product comparisons & project schedules as requested.
- Maintain company involvement in the design community through organizational participation and present a professional image at all times.
- Maintain timely, effective, and honest communications with management and clients.
- Attend all staff meetings.
- Participate in the growth of the company as a cooperative and creative member of the team.
- Research code requirements and interface with governmental agencies as needed.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in architectural design or relative experience
- Or an associates degree in drafting or a similar field.
- Must have experience in AutoCAD or Revit, and ArchiCAD preferred
- Must reside in NW Arkansas
- Must be willing to commute to office two days a week
