Your role as Coordinator, Community Impact:
You will be primarily responsible for the coordination and execution of charitable projects and events for the Padres Foundation/Community Impact team. This includes, but is not limited to, facilitating in-kind charitable donations, managing the Padres Foundation Community Kiosk during home games, assisting with Padres Foundation 50/50 Raffle, supporting various military and first responder initiatives, and helping to successfully plan and execute all community-related events and appearances. Strong administrative skills will be necessary to successfully organize and coordinate all charitable events and requests on behalf of the Community Impact department.
All the responsibilities we will trust you with:
-  Coordinates the club’s charity ticket program, working to distribute and track Padres charitable game tickets
-  Coordinates the fulfillment of all charitable requests received by the Community Impact department
-  Reviews requests in online software, determines appropriate action, and organizes system for fulfillment; supervises fulfillment, pick-up and data entry; creates and distributes necessary reports on in-kind donations
-  Organizes Tony Gwynn Community All-Stars program. This grant program was founded to honor Tony Gwynn’s outstanding leadership in the San Diego community and recognizes local high school students who are following in his footsteps to support a San Diego non-profit organization. Responsibilities include coordination with legal, marketing, and social to launch the annual application process, review of submissions, winner selection, and execution of pregame recognition ceremony
-  Responsible for booking and coordinating charity partners in the Padres Foundation Community Kiosk during home games. The Community Kiosk is a space in a high-traffic area of Petco Park where local charities can set up an activation booth and share information about the good work they are doing
-  Facilitates Padres alumni relations, coordinating community and corporate appearances, writing and distribution of a quarterly alumni newsletter, as well as Fantasy Camp support
-  Assists the Military Affairs Advisor with Military and First Responder programs, including: pregame salutes, ticket programs, military/first responder events, etc.
-  Assists with planning and execution of all Play Ball activities, including Future Padres Jersey Program, Padres Rookie League, and other youth clinics/camps
-  Assists with Padres Foundation 50/50 Raffle
-  Facilitates staff scheduling, pre-game set up, and in-game management of raffle
-  Fills in for 50/50 Supervisor if unable to work game day
-  Assists with the successful planning and execution of Padres Foundation fundraisers, including Dinner on the Diamond, Garage Sale, Broadcast Auction, etc. (includes assistance with budget management, volunteer coordination, event promotion, day-of planning and event follow-up, and auction fulfillment)
-  Assists with the administrative duties for the department (e.g., managing community email inbox, stocking and arranging promotion items/department supplies, etc.)
-  Other duties as assigned
 
 
Your areas of knowledge and expertise that matter most:
-  Advanced computer skills including experience with Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc., and general knowledge of basic office equipment including copier, telephone, fax, and computer
-  Possess strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and effectively work well with others in a collaborative, respectful manner
-  Exceptional time management and organizational skills with capacity to handle high volumes of detailed work, multi-task and manage projects on strict deadlines
-  Maintain professional demeanor with a high degree of discretion, integrity, and accountability
-  Maintain consistent, punctual, and reliable attendance
 
 
You will be required to meet the following:
-  Must be at least 18 years of age by the start of employment
-  4-year Bachelor’s Degree, or education equivalent, preferred
-  Minimum 1-year previous experience in community, business, or administrative role
-  Fluently bilingual in English/Spanish a plus
-  Able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, holidays and extended hours as needed
-  Able to travel as needed
-  Minimum physical requirements: able to travel to and gain access to various areas of the ballpark for prolonged periods of time during games and events; able to lift and transport up to 25 pounds
-  As a condition of employment, you must successfully complete all post-offer, pre-employment requirements, including but not limited to a background check
 
 
Pay and additional compensation:
Per the California pay transparency law, the base hourly range for this full-time position is $21.06 to $23.00. As a candidate for this position, your salary and related elements of compensation will be contingent upon your work experience, education, job-related skills and any other factors the San Diego Padres considers relevant to the hiring decision for this position.
