About NerdSquad
NerdSquad is a cybersecurity-first managed service provider (MSP) supporting professional service businesses across Southwest Florida. We help clients protect, comply, and grow through cutting-edge technology solutions and personalized support.
We’re looking for a motivated Business Development Representative (BDR) to help expand our B2B client base and fuel our growth. You’ll work directly with the founder in a collaborative, fast-moving environment where initiative and creativity are rewarded.
Role Overview
As a BDR, you’ll generate new business opportunities through outbound prospecting, relationship building, and strategic outreach. Depending on your experience and goals, this position offers flexibility - from focusing purely on appointment setting to managing the entire sales cycle through to close (with corresponding compensation).
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct outbound calls, emails, social outreach and in-person meetings to identify and qualify prospective clients.
- Schedule and coordinate appointments for the sales team and leadership.
- Manage leads and track all interactions within our CRM system.
- Develop and nurture relationships with potential clients through consistent follow-up and strong communication.
- Collaborate with marketing to align outreach strategies and support demand generation campaigns.
- Provide feedback on lead quality, campaign performance, and market trends.
- Stay informed about emerging technologies and industry developments to effectively communicate our value proposition.
Qualifications
- Proven success in B2B inside sales or telemarketing, ideally within a technology, SaaS, or MSP environment.
- Strong command of English - both spoken and written.
- Proficiency with CRM platforms and digital sales tools.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable working independently or as part of a team.
- Must reside in Southwest Florida and be available for periodic in-person and Zoom meetings during normal business hours (Eastern Time).
Preferred:
- Prior experience selling IT services, software, or technology solutions.
- Experience working for an MSP or managed IT provider.
- Familiarity with social media management or digital prospecting.
Compensation & Benefits
- Hourly base pay plus recurring commissions on every contract sold.
- Higher commission tiers for independently closed deals.
- Unlimited earning potential with ongoing training and career growth.
- Collaborative, goal-oriented culture with daily team meetings and mentorship.
Who Thrives Here
- This role is ideal for someone who enjoys connecting with people, building relationships, and driving measurable growth. If you’re confident, organized, and passionate about technology - and you want to grow with a respected local brand - we’d love to meet you.
