We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the performing arts, particularly in dance and theater, and possess the ability to educate others while effectively communicating complex concepts. This role requires a blend of technical expertise and interpersonal skills, making it perfect for individuals who thrive in collaborative environments.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support for dance and theater productions, ensuring all equipment is functioning properly.
- Educate performers and staff on the use of technical equipment and safety protocols.
- Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate production schedules and requirements.
- Assist in the setup and breakdown of equipment before and after performances.
- Write detailed reports on equipment performance and maintenance needs.
- Engage in public speaking to present technical information during training sessions or meetings.
Requirements
- Experience or education in dance, theater, or a related field is preferred.
- Strong public speaking skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
- Proficiency in writing technical documentation and reports.
- Knowledge of ballet or other dance forms is a plus.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
