Drum Capital Management, LLC, founded in 2005, is a Stamford, CT based private equity investment manager and registered investment advisor investing in three disciplines: primary investments, equity co-investments, and sponsor-led buyout transactions across a broad scope of industry sectors. Drum Capital specializes in deep value, special situations, and turnarounds in the North American middle markets. Due to the company’s growth, Drum Capital is seeking a Junior Fund Accountant to join the team in the Stamford, CT office.
Title: Junior Fund Accountant
Reports to: Senior Director of Finance
Experience: 2+ year of in private equity accounting, audit & tax
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
Location: Stamford Office
Responsibilities Include:
· Perform daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting and reporting functions.
· Manage data entry for investments and cash tracking, and maintain financial data within the investment database.
· Assist with the reconciliation of all cash received from investors and investments, as well as bank account reconciliations.
· Analyze direct investment expenses.
· Prepare journal entries and cash reconciliations.
· Support annual audit and tax return preparations.
· Work with investors’ capital calls, distributions, financials and capital account statements.
· Assist in preparing cash analysis for capital call and distribution determinations.
· Provide support for special projects and ad-hoc requests as needed.
· Support investment team’s performance reporting and analytics.
· Calculate and allocate employee expense reports.
· Digital filing and supply ordering.
· Manage vendor relationships, allocate invoices.
