A DC Methodist Church is looking for a part-time Finance Manager to assist in overseeing all incoming contributions and support the annual budget development and execution. This is a part-time position (20-25 hours per week) working on Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday.

Responsibilities of the Finance Manager include:
- Support of annual budget development and execution, including timely and accurate reporting to the Senior Pastor and finance committee.
- Reporting and communication with financial contributors in support of overall stewardship vision and goals.
- Support of all aspects of integrated funding strategy, including data analysis, reporting, resourcing members of Stewardship Ministry Team, liaising with communications staff on development communication strategy, and providing administrative support.
- Process contributions and ensure all money is taken to the bank.
- Prepare and enter vouchers for checks and reimbursements.
- Maintain appropriate records for contributions and receipts and run reports to keep staff updated on their specific accounts.
- Mail/Email quarterly contribution statements, including the end of the year statement.
Requirements of the Finance Manager:
- 3-5 years of financial experience, ideally in a church or non-profit
- Associates or Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred
- Detail-oriented to ensure complete accuracy in financial records and reports
- Someone who appreciates the role a church can play in the lives of its members and neighbors
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to pick up new applications quickly
