TeleSolv Consulting has an immediate opportunity to work with the Federal Government as a Financial Analyst.
This is an ONSITE position based in Washington, DC. This job opportunity is centered around candidates with experience involving criminal investigative and financial database management. This IS NOT primarily a technical oriented role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and analyze financial transactions, accounting activities, and customer data to identify suspicious patterns or anomalies indicative of fraud or other financial crimes.
- Conduct thorough investigations into financial irregularities, utilizing various databases, financial records, and other resources to gather evidence and support findings.
- Prepare detailed investigation reports that summarize findings, methodologies, and recommendations for action. Clearly communicate results to stakeholders, including management and regulatory bodies.
- Work closely with internal departments such as compliance, legal, and risk management, as well as with external partners, such as law enforcement agencies and regulatory authorities, to coordinate investigations and share relevant information.
- Monitor and analyze threat intelligence reports to identify emerging threats and vulnerabilities. Assess the potential impact of these threats on organizational assets and recommend appropriate mitigation strategies.
- Prepare detailed incident reports and analysis summaries, documenting findings, actions taken, and recommendations for remediation. Present findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Minimum Qualifications:
- U.S. Citizenship required
- Current Public Trust or the ability to pass a public trust background check timely
- Minimum Education: Associates degree with two years of financial or data management experience; Bachelors degree in a related field of study preferred
- Minimum Years of experience: Two years of financial/data management experience in a professional
- Required skills: Demonstrated analytical skills and proficiency in MS Excel; Strong attention to detail and accuracy; Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Background Investigation:
This position requires that you obtain a background investigation. As part of this process, the government will perform a criminal, credit, tax, employment, and drug history background check. The government has varying tolerances, with mitigating circumstances, for issues in all of the categories. The government is essentially looking to confirm that you are generally in good financial standing, up to date on your tax filings, rehire eligible with your prior employers, and have adhered to any federal restrictions on illegal drug use, including marijuana, in addition to other checks related on your character and trust worthiness.
