Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced CPA with expertise in financials and taxes to join our team on a part-time basis. This role offers an excellent opportunity for professionals with a strong background in accounting, financial reporting, and tax preparation to contribute to diverse client private firms. The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of GAAP, regulatory compliance, and various accounting software platforms, providing critical support in financial analysis, reporting, and state, city and federal taxes.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with regulatory standards
- Manage general ledger accounting, account reconciliation, and journal entries using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage and others.
- Conduct balance sheet reconciliation, bank reconciliation, and accounts receivable/payable management
- Perform tax preparation and planning for individuals and corporate tax clients
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, cash flow analysis, and financial management strategies
- Support regulatory reporting obligations and audit preparations through detailed financial report writing and interpretation
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of financial concepts including accrual accounting, double entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, and technical accounting standards
Skills
- Experience with GAAP compliance, and regulatory reporting standards
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or similar platforms
- Strong knowledge of financial concepts including financial statement preparation, analysis, and interpretation
- Expertise in tax experience related to corporate accounting.
- Ability to perform account analysis, journal entries, bank reconciliations, and account reconciliation efficiently
- Skilled in financial report writing and presentation.
- Strong analytical skills in financial analysis, cash flow management, budgeting, forecasting
- Effective mentoring skills to support team development and knowledge sharing
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, for data analysis and modeling.
