Compensation Range:

The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job's compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.
Responsibilities:
General Purpose
Supports enterprise architecture activities that guide the development and management of a portfolio of solutions, including projects, products, systems, shared infrastructure services, and shared application services. Collaborates with team members on analysis and design tasks related to supporting the development of technology solutions to ensure that solutions meet business needs and align with architectural governance and standards. Receives general guidance and works with subject matter experts and user communities to develop standards and solutions.
Essential Functions:
- Provides support in the evaluation, design and analysis for the implementation of a solutions architecture across specific business applications or technologies.
- Participates in the evaluation and selection of software product standards and services, as well as the design of standard and custom software configurations.
- Follows directives as needed based on outcomes.
- Contributes to deliverables such as standard definitions, reference models and architecture designs to help assess the impact of new and ongoing technology investment.
- Participates in the prototyping of new tools and techniques for the development and operation of solutions.
- Contributes to the published repository of technical architectures.
- Supports other architects in the development of specific technical, information and business standards.
- Helps to monitor the current-state solution portfolio to identify deficiencies through aging of the technologies used by the application or misalignment with business requirements.
- Maintains current knowledge of the University’s architecture roadmaps, technology status of peer institutions and technology market landscape.
- Helps to identify emerging opportunities that should be explored through research or discussion.
- Assists with research to understand business drivers and business capabilities, both future and current state, and participates in corresponding enterprise system designs and change requirements.
- Provides support on a broad range of technologies, platforms and vendor offerings to drive targeted business outcomes.

Minimum Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Sciences or equivalent and 3 years of relevant experience required.
- Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Graduate degree preferred.
- Experience in system development life cycle, business analysis, project management, systems integration, software development and/or the administration of service platforms, public/private cloud platforms, databases and networks preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Deep and broad technical skills for service design and delivery, including infrastructure and application components required.
- Ability to communicate clearly and facilitate discussions required.
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills required.
- Ability to design and implement a project schedule and knowledge of project management required.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment required.
- Ability to recognize strategic business opportunities preferred.
