Strategic Business Development Coordinator
The Strategic Business Development Coordinator is responsible for initiating high-value prospect engagement, representing the sales team in early-stage interactions. Unlike traditional inside sales, this role blends research-driven marketing tactics with social selling to generate meaningful leads. Outreach will be largely non-intrusive (email, LinkedIn, social posts), highly personalized, and aimed at developing credible connections that can be seamlessly handed over to the appropriate sales rep — often without the prospect realizing the contact was not made by the rep directly.
Key Responsibilities
· Make connections via Linkedin representing the sales team
· Post events, success stories, projects, news, answer questions, etc on social media on sales teams’ behalf
· Contact older leads in the CRM to update, delete or find new contacts in the company
· Monitor social media for prospect updates, company news, competitive products, competitors to EMS, industry trends, etc
· Find key prospects using Zoominfo, web search, AI, Linkedin, specific websites, trade organizations, Linkedin groups, etc
· Send direct targeted emails to prospects
· Use AI to find new prospects based on management initiatives
· Invite prospects to events such as trade shows, tech days, webinars, etc
· Contact new assigned leads from EMS;s marketing activities
o Certain engineering services leads
o Solidworks leads
o Others
· Keep CRM up to date and organized
o New contacts
o Contact and update existing contacts
o Notes
o Update existing customers
o Assigning calls/tasks to sales team
· Make phone calls as follows:
o Events
o Follow up to outreach activities
o Key prospects
· Attend EMS Sales meetings and training in person or virtually
Skills/Tools
- Proficient in: LinkedIn Sales Navigator, ZoomInfo, CRM (Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.), email outreach tools (e.g., Outreach.io, Apollo), and basic AI tools (ChatGPT for research/drafting copy)
- Strong copywriting and written communication skills
- Understanding of sales cycle and customer journey
- Proficient in English both spoken and written
- Proficient in using AI to generator leads
Location
Remote/virtual with the option to work at EMS's Tampa office.
Work Schedule
Part to full time.
