POSITION SUMMARY:
The Merchandising Assistant supports day-to-day merchandising operations, with a focus on system database maintenance and reporting. This role will liaise with sales, design, and production teams in all aspects of the product cycle.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
DATA MAINTENANCE & REPORTING:
- Manage and update product data in BlueCherry, including style creation, pricing, images, attributes and descriptions
- Serve as super-user of SQL Server Reporting Services and BlueCherry Report Launcher
- Maintain the line sheet database and provide customized line sheets for market appointments
- Upload and maintain sale forecasts and projections data in BlueCherry
- Assist with Cut & Sold reporting to monitor inventory levels
- Generate seasonal size breakdowns and warehouse splits reports
- Ensure real-time accuracy and consistency of all system databases
ASSET & SAMPLE MAINTENANCE:
- Maintain image databases and stay informed of style changes throughout the product cycle, ensuring sample images are updated in real time
- Reconcile flat and on-model images against final line adoption, partnering with Product Development and Creative Services
- Assist with packing, tagging, and organizing International Carnet samples
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience with PLM and BlueCherry preferred
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, formula building)
- Must be comfortable managing spreadsheets daily in a data-driven environment
- Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail and ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment

$50,000 - $55,000 base salary (This range represents the low and high end of the anticipated base salary range for this NYC - based position. The base salary will depend on numerous factors such as: experience and qualifications for the role, experience level, skillset, and balancing internal equity relative to other AO employees.)
